I actually hate when ppl call Laios stupid. It drives me insane. He’s literally one of the most intelligent characters in the series, if it wasn’t for his expertise on monsters the whole crew would’ve been DEAD.

soooo many people egregiously underestimate how important iruka is to naruto (not just the character, but the entire story itself) just because he’s not some overpowered character when 90% of the plot quite literally rests on his actions. there’s a reason that hiruzen, tsunade, kakashi, and naruto trusted him so much, in general and as hokage— he functions as the embodiment of the will of fire (hence the resemblance to hashirama). there’s no show without him.
